Illinois Supreme Court Dismisses Blagojevich Court Removal Suit

The Illinois Supreme Court today refused to hear either suit filed to temporarily remove Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich from office.  The Court made no comment.  One suit was brought by Attorney General Lisa Madigan and the other was brought by three citizen plaintiffs, including Illinois Policy Institute CEO John Tillman who said, "I am more convinced than ever that the only way to truly clean up Illinois is through citizen action." John Tillman joined three other Illinois citizens to file suit with the Illinois State Supreme Court today to have Governor Rod Blagojevich temporarily removed from office in light of the recent charges filed against him for bribery and conspiracy, citing his inability to effectively run the state.
